Model C: roomy knit upper

Knit uppers stretch with wear. Check whether the retailer lists a size chart for the specific model.

Measure at home

Check your length in five steps

Use a sheet of paper, a wall, and a ruler. Measure in the evening, when feet are slightly larger, and check both feet.

Step 01

Trace your foot

Stand on paper against a wall, heel touching the wall, and trace the outline with a pencil held upright.

Step 02

Mark the longest point

Mark the tip of the longest toe and the back of the heel on the outline, then draw a straight line between them.

Step 03

Measure in centimeters

Use a ruler to measure that line in centimeters, then repeat the trace for the other foot.

Step 04

Compare with the chart

Find the length on the retailer's size chart for the exact model, not a generic size guide.

Step 05

Allow for break-in

Leather and suede may stretch slightly with wear, while knit uppers often give more. Keep that in mind before choosing a size.
